Stop deciding late. Read the rally in the right order.

Ball, then body, then space. Most players read the court first, and the court is the read that should come last. Get the order right and the game starts to feel slower, even though nobody got faster.

Same rally. Two ways to decide it.

The difference is not how many shots you own. It is the order the options arrive in.

Players watching a doubles rally from behind the baselineHow it usually goes

Seven options at once

  • Drive, dink, drop, speed up, lob, reset: all available in about a second
  • You pick the one that feels open, and feel is what changes at 9 to 9
  • More videos add more options, so the second gets more crowded
  • After the point, you cannot say why you lost it
A doubles pair side by side at the kitchen lineWith the system

Three questions, in order

  • Ball: was contact above or below the net tape? That decides what is possible
  • Body: are your feet set? That decides what is safe
  • Space: who can least afford this ball? That picks the target
  • Only three things to do with the answer: defend, build, or attack
The problem

Highlights will not fix your unforced errors

You can watch professional pickleball for a hundred hours and still panic at the kitchen line. Not because you were not paying attention. A highlight shows you what somebody did. The part you needed was the read that came half a second before it.

Two players with identical strokes get opposite results, because one decides after the ball arrives and the other decides before. So this does the opposite of adding. Three reads, always in the same order, and only three things you are ever allowed to do with the answer.

The aim: you stop re-deciding the same question every rally.

The system

The Pickleball Command System

Seven modules and twenty-one lessons. Every lesson uses the same eight blocks in the same order, so the shape of the page becomes the shape of the decision.

Every scenario shows the ball height, the balance, the target and the recovery, with the tempting mistake drawn next to the better play.

70 pages · 25 sequential diagrams

The First 14 Days

One small thing a day. Most take fifteen minutes, and three of them are matches you were playing anyway. Day 2 is the first rule you take onto the court.

The method

Ball. Body. Space. In that order.

The order is not a style preference. Each read removes options the next one no longer has to consider, which is why it resolves fast enough to use in a real rally.

Read 1

Ball

What is possible

Height at contact. Below the top of the net a downward ball does not exist, for you or for a professional. Physics, not judgement.

Read 2

Body

What is safe

Feet set, or still moving. Balance can only ever take options away from you. It never adds one.

Read 3

Space

Where it goes

Which of the four players can least afford this ball. That decides the target, and where you stand next.

Inside the book

Every diagram carries the height

A court seen from above cannot show you how high the ball was, which is the first thing you need to know. So every scenario is paired with a side view of the net.

Scenario 01 from the book: the ball that is already out, with the court diagram
Scenario 01, the ball that is already out. Cropped from the real page.
Lesson 1.1 court diagram with safe path, danger path and recovery
Lesson 1.1: the tempting mistake in coral, the better play in teal, and where you recover to.
Side view of the net showing contact at 24 inches, below the tape
The side view: contact at 24 inches, below the 34 inch tape, so every option travels upward.

One PDF, set for US Letter and A4. The tools are fillable: type into them and save, or print them and take a pen courtside.

Your first week

What the first seven days actually look like

Not "study the system". Seven specific things, in order. Most take about fifteen minutes, and two of them are matches you were going to play anyway.

  1. Day 1
    15 minutes, no court

Read the opening. Four rallies with the decision already revealed. Nothing to fill in.

  2. Day 2
    One match

One rule: you may not strike the ball while your feet are moving. Nothing else changes.

  3. Day 3
    A printer and scissors

Print the Match Day card and cut out both pocket cards. One for your bag, one for your partner.

  4. Day 4
    20 minutes on court

The net-tape drill. Only accelerate a ball visibly above the top of the net. Count the misses.

  5. Day 5
    No court

Module 1, Read the Rally. Decide each diagram before you read the answer.

  6. Day 6
    20 minutes, no court

The middle. Then one message to your regular partner agreeing who takes it.

  7. Day 7
    One match

Play normally and count three things. The first honest picture of your own game.

  8. Then seven more days, and a 90-day plan that starts with four numbers you measure on a court.

Honestly

Who this is for

This is for you if

  • You lose points you cannot explain afterwards
  • You are told to "be more patient" and do not know what that means in a rally
  • You freeze when the ball comes to the middle
  • You play the same people every week and keep losing the same way
  • You are willing to count things

This is not for you if

  • You are brand new and still learning the serve
  • You play mostly singles (this is a doubles system)
  • You are 4.5 or above
  • You want technique coaching: grip, swing path, mechanics
  • You want to be told you are one trick away

Built for the courts where you play the same twenty people every week.

No testimonials yet. Here is what it is built on.

This is the first edition, so we are not going to invent reviews. What it has been through is the rulebook, line by line, and the published match analysis.

We will not invent a statistic

We will not promise you a rating

Nobody can honestly sell you a DUPR number or a win rate.

We will not dress advice up as a rule

Rules are boxed and cited. Everything else is an argument you are free to disagree with on the court.

Questions before you buy

Is this for me if I have never had a lesson?

It is written for recreational doubles players roughly between 2.5 and 3.5: people who can keep a rally going and lose points they cannot explain. If you are still learning to serve consistently, take a lesson first and come back. This will still be here.

Do I need a partner to use it?

For the reading, no. For about half the drills, yes: someone to feed balls and count out loud. Several of the weekly sessions are matches you were going to play anyway, with one constraint applied.

Is it video?

No. It is a 70-page visual system, two workbooks and two printable tools, all as PDFs. There is no video, and we would rather tell you that here than after you buy.

How is this different from watching pro highlights?

Highlights show you what a professional did. They do not show you the read that came before it, which is the part you can actually copy. Every scenario here shows the ball height, the balance, the target and the recovery, and the tempting mistake next to it.

Will it raise my DUPR?

Nobody can honestly promise that, and this page will not. What is on offer is a cleaner decision, repeated, and a way to measure whether it is happening.

Can I share it with my partner?

The license is personal, but the Match Day card deliberately comes with a second pocket card for the partner you play with most.

What exactly do I get, and when?

Everything listed on this page, immediately after purchase, as downloadable PDFs in your Hotmart account. No drip and no waiting. You may be offered optional add-ons at checkout; they are separate purchases, and the system is complete without them.
